Ok here's the second post. This one is alot shorter, and I plan on most posts being in the 1-2 minutes range, with the occasional long post. I mean for real, how much time can I expect you to spend watching me?

Video Blog, Day 1

Ok, not exactly sure how to do this. I used to be good at computer stuff, but that was a long time ago, and it didn't involve the internet at all. So we'll see if this works. But this is the first day of the video blog. To answer some questions, yes i'm filming in an earthquake, and yes I need to learn to look at the camera a little more. I look like I'm watching something on TV.

I'm no good at this

Ok so I'm no good at this blogging thing. But I've not had the best year, so I'm lookin to make some changes. So I'm going to express myself better, starting tomorrow, I'll be doing a daily video blog. I'm not sure if i can do that on here, so if i can't, I'll do it on youtube and post the link on here. Hopefully some people read it, and have some comments for me on it.

Are you ready to rock?!?!?

If some of you didn't know, I'm obsessed with video games. It's what I do to take the edge off after a hard day's work (the booze, drugs and hookers always help too.) I constantly read websites about video games and I'm always WAY more excited than I should be about buying and playing whatever the new game is. The way the video game business works is that these big companies spend many years making these games, and a large majority of the games that are worth a damn come out in Sep-Nov so as to catch the holiday money. Something like 400-500 games will come out in that time, while the rest of the year is only about 100 or less. Anyways.......If you haven't seen displays in stores or heard about it, you need to check out this game called Rock Band. It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys. (How fun is a barrel of monkeys? Why is a barrel of monkeys fun? Are monkeys good at coming up with fun things to do? Questions for the ages i say.) Anyways, I bought it when it came out and pretty much forced Melanie and Kristi to play this with me. Neither wanted to but they both loved it. Since I know most of the people I talk to online were music people like me, I know you'd probably like it too. Next time we play, I'll take pictures and force Melanie to show me how to put them on the computer.

Anyways, Thanks for the comments from the people who've already started reading my blog. It makes me feel like a celebrity(a minor kind of celebrity, the kind that if you saw one in the supermarket, you'd be like "Hey, isn't that guy on TV or something?"). Welcome to the World Wide Web!!!

So I used to think that the internet's main usage for most people was pornography and shopping(or shopping for pornography, I guess.) But now I've realized that it really is a way for people across the entire world to stay connected to each other in a way that was never possible in the past. I used to think that MySpace got people connected in a new way, but MySpace annoys me more than anything. I think thats more because I'm not a 15yo girl and its not important to me who's at the top of my friend's list or what song I have playing on my main page.

Sidenote: Why do people feel the need to play music on those things? I realize that you like totally love the new jam from Beyonce, but don't force me to listen to it. Or force me to listen to any music for that matter.

But my beautiful wife has shown me the world of blogging, and what it can do for connecting with other people. I read the blog of my sister in law to find out about my niece, nephew and brother. I can read the blogs of people I haven't seen in years but used to spend a ton of time with. To me it feels like I'm connected to them again, even though we don't speak on a regular basis, and that's always a good thing.

Oh yeah, im not normally quite so positive as this. So im sure some of my posts will be meandering rants about tiny little things that bother me, but hey those seem like some of the best posts to read, right?
